Just put the desired quantity of coffee in a sock, put it in a pot of water with the end hanging over, and bring to a boil. Don't let the edge of the sock hang on the eye of the stove though- this could cause a fire. Just be sure to use a sock that has never been worn before. Even then I would wash it a few times.
