Is anyone in Essex looking to buy a fish tank?

I have two for sale.
First is a large one approx 5′ wide x 3′ x 2′ on a cabinet which brings to a total height of approx 5′. Only couple of years old. Looking for about £250. Will include Fluval 405′ external filter.
Second is a fish tank coffee table approx 4′ wide x 3′ x 2′ ish. These are funky and cost about £1000 new at the mo, was £1400 when i bought it. Looking for £300 ish.

Chinese apartment new paint scheme?

I want to stick with a Chinese art, culture, style, and color. Currently I have a black leather couch, and chair (Ikea) and coffee table and end tables.

My Chinese better half appreciates his heritage being honored in our home, as well. We use a lot of red, gray, black and gold because it goes well with the Asian decore celebrating his culture, but also works well with my European culture as well. Being a landlord, I would probably not want my rental units painted with red walls. That being said, you can still use your walls to your decorating advantage. For example, we inherited and collect vintage Chinese and Japanese gowns (which you can often find in thrift stores and in China towns). We hang them on our walls using decorative drapery rods as art because they are so beautiful. I give them “faces” by hanging my collection of venetian masks above each gown.

You can also find beautiful Chinese toile brocade fabric at JoAnne’s fabric store and when you use the 40% off circular cupon they are quite inexpensive. I’ve used this fabric to make pillows, placemats, even a throw with fringe sewn to the edges. They make beautiful valances and draperies as well.

Chinese tend to like rosewood which resembles a mahogany wood tone. You can pick up beautiful, yet very inexpensive stands upon which you can put plants, vases and sculpture either table top or or on the floor. Lucky bamboo in a chinese pot look great and bring your home luck.

Look at the stamp stores where they have a boxed collection of chinese language symbols. You can blow these up (once stamped on a surface) and do all kinds of things with them. You can make a stencil and use fabric paint to make placemats, a table runner, art…My collection cost less than 10 dollars and I never stop finding uses for it.

You can also find Chinese symbols which are on bedspreads (Brylane home, Chadwicks home, Spiegel, bed bath and beyond, linen N things) also I found them embroidered in gold on black towels as well.
