How to prepare the best American Coffee Using Braun Coffee Maker?
I need to know the ratio between coffee amount and water, and how to have a strong coffee aroma. Is it just inserting the filter, filling the coffee and pouring pure water?
One ‘measure’ or tablespoon doesn’t work for me, but then I’m a coffee snob ::
I purchase whole beans from purveyors I trust. I find supermarket brands are way sub-par, weak and stale. Vienna Roast mixed half ‘n half with Colombian Supremo is my personal ‘house mix’.
Use enough coffee in each batch to make strong coffee – if you can see the bottom of the cup it’s weak!
Sometimes chain stores like Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or individual coffee roaster stores will have the best beans. Supermarkets do not – if you don’t start with the great beans you’ll have crap coffee. Maxwell House to me is crap.
I have an inexpensive grinder I use before each batch in the morning. Grinding beans takes 2O seconds and is well worth it!
As far as your Braun goes, follow their instructions. If it’s new you may not get the best coffee until finding out your personal ratio of beans to H2O!

Does anyone know if i can use ground coffee in a tassimo machine, and if i can, how?
It isn’t possible to do that in a Tassimo. With the Keurig you can use the My K-Cup and with a Pod Brewer you can easily make your own pods, but the Tassimo has no means to use you own ground coffee.

I have a Tassimo coffee maker, but can’t find a coffee I like, any suggestions?
Most of the discs that I have tried are very strong, even after brewing the same disc twice. I have tried Maxwell House, and Starbucks brands so far. I like the flavor of Dunkin Donuts coffee if that gives any ideas as to what I am looking for. At this point I am considering just going back to a regular coffee maker and not wasting anymore money on packages of discs I don’t even like.
some coffee makers with special pouches/disks/cartridges for their coffee have reusable alternatives that you can put your own choice of coffee in. unfortunately it doesn’t look like tassimo has that option currently.
