Folding Coffee Table
Anyone know of a folding coffee table?
I am on the hunt for a coffee table, but because I’m in a very small space, it need to be something which adapts. I need it to be able to fold flat in order to be able to be stored behind an Ikea Solsta couch (it’s a sofa bed). I’m looking, but haven’t really found anything at all, so if you know of a product that fits this description and is extremely affordable ($100 or less), I’d love it if you could pass along your knowledge. There are many folding tables available at walmart,target, rite aid, cvs, and sams and in your price range. They are oblong in shape and are adjustable in height. You would probably want to use a tablecloth for appearance sake to cover up the plastic look. There is a cheaper way to get a coffee table. You need to buy a piece of plexiglass(available at Lowes ,Home Depot etc.) the width and length that you want.This will be the top of your table & when not in use it is thin enough to go any place. Now all you need are supports for your table. You can use one large planter in the middle or 2 smaller ones at the ends. Or what my sister did is she used some books and made two stacks putting the books with the most interesting covers on top and then put the plexiglass on top of that. This last idea was seen in a decorating magazine .
