Which is a better single cup coffee maker… Keurig Or Flavia?
I am trying to decide upon a new single cup coffee maker and I like the fact that the Flavia lets you brew more than just coffee and tea. You can make coffee drinks, too. Does anyone have any experience with either machine or better yet, both to make a comparison? I see both coffee makers available at http://www.yourfavoritecoffees.com at comparable prices, so I am unclear about which is the better deal. Any ideas?
It is difficult isn’t it. Keurig seems to be the favorite, but I think that is because of all of the marketing they do. We actually have a Keurig – have had a couple of different models in the last 3 years. There have been a few issues with them but the company has stood behind their product. I will say that it is problematic that sending it back to them means you are without a coffee maker for a while.
The Keurig makes strictly coffee, tea and cocoa, no special coffee drinks. I don’t mind this, but my wife likes cappuccinos and other coffee drinks, so she is looking for our next single cup coffee maker if/when our Keurig starts leaking again.
I looked at the site you suggested for both coffee machines and the Flavia looks interesting. In fact I discovered that there is a free Flavia Deluxe offer right now on this page http://www.yourfavoritecoffees.com/flaviafusiondeluxe.php that I may suggest to my wife to look at. It makes coffee, tea, iced drinks and some specialty drinks as well. This is certainly an option for a single cup coffee maker.
Another single cup coffee maker that we are thinking of is the Tassimo Suprema. It seems to have a similar variety of coffees, teas and specialty drinks as the Flavia. Just to make your decision more difficult, I will also suggest that you look at the Dolce Gusto as it makes a variety of drinks. It is also available on the site you mentioned. And I just recently discovered the Nespresso Citiz that looks pretty awesome.
I am waiting for a brilliant company to realize that the consumer needs to try these machines out before we spend a couple hundred dollars on a coffee maker or espresso machine. I may be dreaming that it will ever happen, but doesn’t it make sense?
Perhaps as close as we will get to that is that free Flavia coffee maker with the purchase of their coffee. Would like to hear what you decide… you can help us make our decision.
